Summer Uman - Multimedia Artist
My process is instinctive, meditative, and mercurial. I play with frenzied forms against the backdrop of a surrealist internal landscape, unearthing subconscious desires and ruminations. An excessive synthesis of humanoid and beastly figures creates a hypnagogic vision of sex, death, and liminality. I am naturally drawn towards textures and forms that feel existential, spiritual, and sexually charged. I am based in Brooklyn, NY.
